I'm running. I'm not sure if I'm being chased or if I'm running towards something. The world around me is dark, but my path is somehow illuminated by an invisible light source. I keep running for I don't know how long before someone prompts me to stop. I stand in silence and lift my eyes upward. I actually manage to pay attention in this class. Ironically enough, it's a philosophy class. Unfortunately, we don't cover anything concerning proof of our existence. The professor just elaborates on the topic he introduced last week, but it is still interesting, anyways. I leave the class in a slightly better mood than when I walked in. I even almost forget about the incident I had on the way to class. But, naturally, it resurfaces in my mind and confounds me once more. I've been having these weird thoughts lately. None of them make any sense at all. They're just so irrational and absolutely absurd that I can hardly believe these thoughts are my own. These thoughts feel so incredibly foreign, as if someone else is fabricating these ideas and somehow planting them in my mind. But sometimes, these "thoughts" aren't actually thoughts at all. On more than one occasion, I've heard voices. Not the kind of voices people associate with schizophrenia. I'm not being told to kill or hurt anyone. These voices are different.
